Forthcoming events

Throughout the year brain tumour charity events will be actively trying to raise funds for In Sue’s Name.
Below are the current planned brain tumour charity events and dates for you to decide which events you will be attending ways to book your place.

Even if you cannot make an event, please feel free to still help make it a success through possible donation of raffle/auction prizes or maybe enquiring about sponsoring it in some way or other. We’re looking forward to some amazing and fun events and would love you to join us too.

Some past events

Friday 20th September 2019

2019 Golf Day

Our 2019 Golf Day proves to be another popular and worthwhile event, raising over £8,000 for the charity.

A massive vote of thanks to all those who played and helped with this event.

Sunday 17th March 2019

Sky Dive for Sue

March 15th would have been Sue’s 51st birthday and we originally hoped to have 51 people jumping on that day, but bad weather postponed the jump until March 17th (St. Patricks Day) and our numbers dropped to 37.

I, her Dad was the oldest at 77 and our grandson Jack was the youngest at just 18. Our second daughter, Angie, flew in from San Diego to jump and our son-in law, Craig, and Sue’s cousin, Jonathan, completed the family contingent.

I would like to thank all of our friends who joined us and helped to raise an amazing £45,000.

We hope to repeat the event next year and already have 44 on the waiting list.

Friday 1st March 2019

Greek Night

We held our second Greek Charity Night at the Penridge Suite, with the help of our organising committee of Andre Chris, Lara Stavrinou, Irene Hadjioannou, Maria Elias and our daughter Niki, who always pulls things together. Lara worked her usual magic and persuaded Cleopatra Greek Band and The Elite School of Dancers to perform FOC.

Our thanks to Micky and Stel once again. More than 215 guests enjoyed wonderful food, great entertainment and our thanks to John Pitselis and the Penridge Suite for hosting the event which raised £15,000.
